The same day we visited the Cleveland Museum of Art, we also checked out the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, which is right across the street. The place was filled to the brim with taxidermied animals and bones. It costs 9 dollars to get in, but is 5 dollars after 5 PM on Wednesdays.

On Wednesday I had big plans. Some friends and myself were going to head out to Presque Isle in PA and hang out on the beach. Spend a little time relaxing and swimming, possibly some picnicking. Ohio’s bitter enemy, Mother Nature, had different plans. It was doom and gloom all day long, and the rain would not let up. In order to utilize the rest of the day without me just coming home and wasting it on the computer, we decided to go get cultured at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
It was my first time there, and I was really pretty impressed with it. I had previously only been to the Chicago Museum of Art and The Butler in Youngstown, Ohio. Cleveland had a lot of familiar paintings that I had studied at YSU throughout all of my art history courses.
On Saturday, August 1st, Sam Goodwill will be playing a free live show with The Zou at O’Donalds Irish Pub in Austintown, Ohio. It’s a good thing it’s free, because you can save your money so you can buy their brand new EP “Stampede”.
The album contains 4 songs: Hanging Heads, You Are Here, Kings on Fire, and Entertainment for the Cultured. All like you’ve never heard them before. I just so happened to hear an early copy, and trust me, you need this album.
