We are back from Vexfest!

Written by Justin / Posted in: ,

I just got in from Vexfest a little while ago, and it was a really good time. First, I’d like to thank everyone who helped us out in any way tonight. We sold every single one of our shirts and gave away all of our bandanas and tote bags. If you were interested in getting a shirt, just keep checking back, we will probably get more printed soon.

There were lots of incredible bands performing tonight, but even more incredible people. I took some pictures at the event of Wake the Lion, Da Boondox, Posture Coach, Kitchen Knife Conspiracy and The Zou. I will probably post some of those at a later time.

If this is your first time at the site, I would like to welcome you and let you know that we have a members only message board where I have an open topic about Vexfest if you would like to go in there and post some of your fond memories or pictures.

Just click here. You will have to register first, it only takes a few minutes and then you are on your way. Hope to see you on the forums, but if message boards aren’t your thing, you can add a comment directly to this blog.

Some of our flyers all over the ground. Thanks a lot Youngstown!

Vexfest was pretty awesome. Right before the event, I read on another site about how horrible it was going to be, and it got me thinking about how all the things that this particular website mentioned as reasons why Vexfest would suck, were reasons that I loved anything to do with Youngstown.

Not only were there a lot of great bands and great people, but also some neat organizations and vendors. Like this right here: DEFEND YOUNGSTOWN. Even though dude didn’t have much to say to us, his blog is pretty tight. Of course, what does someone say to a bunch of people promoting a website largely about… well, nothing with any specific direction, at an all day music festival.

Oh, and for anyone who grabbed those free shirts CD 93.3 was giving away before The Zou’s set, a grave injustice was done. See, within the mix of those shirts, a rare H.E.T. shirt was provided to add to the free shirt bounty. But, alas, the t-shirt distributor cast the H.E.T. shirt aside (allegedly), denying audience members the chance to win a piece of history. What a shame. But perhaps, he knows something about web-site related t-shirts that we don’t.

Maybe next year.
