Two years ago, “Transformers” was released and did a lot better than expected, making $319,246,193 domestically and $708,272,592 collectively worldwide. This is some footage that was shown at the recent ShoWest Convention in Las Vegas of the sequel “Transformers: Rise of the Fallen”. If you want to see actual robot fighting, go to 1:34. “Transformers: Rise of the Fallen” will be released on June 24.
Here is an explanation from Michael Bay himself as to why the video was pulled:
The Showest footage was pulled down because it was just a 12-hour thing. I just wanted the fans to get a taste of what we have been making for a year and a half because we have been so quiet. The piece was cut about a month ago for this Showest thing I accepted this past month – so as you can see many of the shots were far from being finished renders. This dinky little site received over 1,500,000 hits and 550,000 downloads in this short time. Anyway the trailer is being printed today and coming out on Wolverine and Star Trek. 64 days left!

The “ShoWest” thing that Michael Bay received was the Vanguard Award for Excellence in Filmmaking. He did replace it with this video that played before he accepted it…which is, you know…just as good and seems a bit like a trailer for “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” anyhow :
